Swimming - An invaluable life skill

Swimming is an invaluable life skill and teaching this life skill is a deeply rewarding process. Watching the child swim independently gives an immense satisfaction to all and is a wonderfully liberating experience for the child and parent alike.

Enthusiasm, Patience and Adaptability

Earning and developing the trust of the child and parent is the foundation of successful swim coaching. This requires that in each training session the Coach shows enthusiasm, patience and an ability to quickly adapt the approach and methodology for each child in each session.

Head instructor - Upendra Watwe

Our head instructor, Upendra Watwe is an American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor® .
Upendra has taught over 500+ students over the past 12+ years.
Upendra is experienced in teaching swimming to children as young as 3 year old to a grandmother over 60 years of age.

Learn to Swim(6 levels)
Red Cross Learn-to-Swim consists of six comprehensive levels that teach people of varying ages and abilities how to swim skillfully and safely.

Pre School Aquatics (3 levels)
Red Cross Preschool Aquatics aims to promote the developmentally appropriate learning of fundamental water safety and aquatic skills by young children.

Adult Swim Courses
These courses are intended for teens and adults at different levels of swimming ability.

The following courses are available :

Learning the Basicscan help teens or adults overcome their fear of the water and to learn the basic skills to achieve a minimum level of water competency. In this course, participants strive for skill and stroke performance as indicated in the Learn-to-Swim Level 3 outline and performance charts.
Learning and Refining Swim Strokesis for teens or adults who want to improve their foundational skills and swimming strokes to gain an overall level of comfort in the water, to be able to enjoy the water more safely with their children, because they own a home pool or to open the door to training for other aquatic opportunities, such as to learn SCUBA. Participant Adults Improving Skills and Swimming Strokes strive for skill and stroke performance as indicated in the Learn-to-Swim Level 5 outline and performance charts.
Fitness Swimming is for adults who swim for fitness want to learn to refine their strokes for a variety of reasons. Some may want to use the benefits of the water to improve their fitness levels, while others may want to participate in a masters swimming program or other competitive sports, such as, triathlons or open water distance swimming. The Adult Swim—Swimming for Fitness strive for stroke performance as indicated in the LTS Level 6 performance charts.

Parent Child Aquatics
These courses are intended for teens and adults at different levels of swimming ability.

Pricing

$60 for 30 min session
These lessons are offered in the comfort of your home pool.
Requires an inspection of the pool & sign up for minimum 4 lessons.
Payment required before start of lessons.

6 Non-prime slots : $30 for 30 min session
1. 4:00pm to 4:30pm
2. 4:30pm to 5:00pm
3. 5:00pm to 5:30pm
4. 6:30pm to 7:00pm
5. 7:00pm to 7:30pm
6. 7:30pm to 8:00pm
2 Prime slots : $35 for 30 min session

Requires minimum sign up for one month ( 4 lessons - one lesson poer week )
Payment required before start of lessons.

Offered for groups of minimum 4 and maximum 6 . Must be qualified at minimum level 3 of Learn to Swim.

$150 for 60 min session on saturdays and sunday mornings 10AM through 1:00 PM
1. 10:00am to 11:00am
2. 11:00am to 12:00pm
3. 12:00pm to 1:00m

$90 for 2 lessons of 30 min each : Minimum age of child 3yrs.
1. Tuesday : 4:00pm to 4:30pm
2. Thursday: 4:00pm to 4:30pm
3. Friday: 4:00pm to 4:30pm

About Upendra Swim Academy

My journey started in 2009 with teaching my son swimming in our community pool. Watching my son learn swimming, friends approached me to teach their kids swimming.
In 2012 I got certified as a Red Cross Water Safety Instructor.
As more and more friends and aquaintances kept reaching out to me for swim lessons, the journey took me to teaching swimming to 500+ children in 10 years.
In 2023 the American Red Cross granted the status of a Licensed Training Provider of their Aquatics programs.
I am grateful to God and all parents for the trust they showed which has taken my journey .
I owe special grattitude to the community management who motivated me to get certified by respected organizations like Red Cross.
